Eothar Adventures, Part VI

Previously on Eothar Adventures:

Eothar and his loyal squire (I mean "castellan") decided to crusade against the evil Black Bows, but they found a bunch of deeply disturbing necromancers lairs instead, proving that the Blackwood Forest is a place as cursed as the daedric realm of Oblivion itself. I feel bad for the Khajits and Argonians, cuz bro...

I spend an entire morning downloading knight armor mods to make a more personalized build for my bois btw...

So yeah, I just checked the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages to see if I was missing something because I looked all over the area surrounding Leyawiin and there was no sign of any black bow bandits at all. And appearently they weren't joking around when they said that the Black Bows established themselves near Leyawiin...they're almost right in front of the city gates!

So the mod creators said that you could follow Mazoga around and she would lead your character into Black Bow's infested places, but all she did was travelling from Leyawiin to Telepe, then heading back to Leyawiin or the White Stallion Lodge. So yeah, I wanted to get into the places in a lore-friendly, roleplaying way, but since that didn't worked, I just spoiled myself the locations of the dungeons were I would most likely found damn Black Bows.

Oh, I forgot to show off some White Stallion related screenies! This modded version of the Stallion looks fantastic, it's even better than the Knights of the Nine Priory in some way, as it's roomy enough to host a decent ammount of NPCs without having them colliding with each other like it so often happens in the afromentioned DLC.

Mazoga can ride her own horse! For those who don't know, Bethesda games have a problem with making followers ride horses. Back in the day I had to use a mod that added a spell that forced them to ride a horse of your selection, but most of the time the mod script overlapped with the character basic scripting framework making up for some very fucked-up situations.
There isn't an option to make her dismount the horse, but if you get into an interior she'll dismount her horse to keep following your character (although sometimes you have to re-enter the place).

We stumbled with a small town called "Borderwatch town". Nothing crazy, but it looked nice. I think it cames from Realswords Argonian. Neato.

We went into Rockmill Cave, a place that, in the spirit of the Mehrune's Razor DLC, has you fighting your way into the dungeon in the midst of a gang war, in this case, between Marauders and Bandits.

There was some crazy loot there, heck I don't even know what to do with so many septims man.

Then there was an NPC from Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul. That mod was neat, but I lost it in my installed game, but it still has references to it, but hey, guess it gives some variety to the game right?

Then we went to a tavern to celebrate our deeds, then returned to count Caro's court. And yeah, Eothar got a new sword. It's pretty cool. It has a green shader, wich is cool since Leyawiin heraldry has a lot of...green. And it also has a couple of small stallions engraved on the sword handle.

Eothar adventures, Part V

Hi guys!

So I want to give my character a bigger sense of purpouse after recklessly kicking ass at randomly found dungeons, so I downloaded a mod called Knights of the White Stallion, wich aims at expanding this very tiny faction into something more worth of a knight's time.

For those who don't know the Knights were founded by the Count of Leyawiin with the ultimate goal of getting rid of an evil sindicate of bandits called "The Black Bows", and with an orc who decided to chill at his court claiming to be a knight. It works the same way as the Order of the Virtuous Blood: you kill a member of the opposite faction, bring a small token of your deeds with you, and you get payed in exchange.

Most of the time you just happen to casualy stumble across a vampire or a black bow and you store vampire dust and black bows until you get to the imperial city/leyawiin court, then the NPC spams the same greet everytime you drop a sample lol.

But this mod adds a series of actual quests with new dialogue and a new storyline. Hopefully it's good.

Okay so appearently our first mission is to grind until we kill 20 black bows.

So it's time for the boios to get familiar with the Blackwood forest.

Althought my noble squire is getting acquainted with the Khajit ladies.

Oh shit, the allmighty M'aiq is the neighborhood

I found 4 nirnroots on my way yay!

We discovered two forts, but they were necromancer ones. Found like 3 soulgems, fought a Dremora Valkynaz, a bunch of Daedra Spiders and a Xivilai wtf so many daedra.

But Fraps decided to stop working. Again duhh.

All in all, I got some cool goodies, but no progress on the quest whatsoever :I
